US, Cuba hold 2nd round of talks on reopening embassies, but quick breakthrough seems unlikely

The U.S. and Cuba held a second round of negotiations Friday on restoring diplomatic relations after a half-century interruption, although an immediate breakthrough appeared unlikely.
The Obama administration wants embassies reopened by April's summit of North and South American leaders, which presidents Barack Obama and Raul Castro are expected to attend. But the Cubans hope first to be removed from a U.S. terrorism list, which prevents them from banking in the U.S. and doing other basic business they would need for an embassy here.
Washington is reviewing that designation but hasn't made a decision yet.

"The true way to honor the past is to improve upon it."

N. Eldon Tanner

Reflection: I think that what Tanner means by this is that the only way you can succeed and honor your past is by improving what you do truthfully. If you choose to do the correct thing, good things will come to you, if you do bad stuff, bad things will come to you. It is the law of life.

"It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today."

James Freeman Clarke

Reflection: I think that this teaches us that no matter if you do wrong or right you are still going to impact the world. It may be in a good way or bad way. It depends on you if you do good or bad. For example, if you litter to a tree you know that futurely that tree may be contaminated and not be able to go thru the cycle correctly and this will impact our world. There are many actions that have an effect in our world. Whether you do good or bad it will still go through history and teach everything that has been done thru our history. If you do good actions, you will be seen as a good person that did good and your history will be clean. If you do bad you will be seen as a shameful person who did bad and is not honorable or respectable. It depends on you whether you want to do good or bad. The world will keep track of the good or bad things that have been done and show it to future generations to teach what is good and bad.

"The best way to predict your future is to create it."

Charles Ketterer

Reflection: I think that Charles is trying to say that the way you should predict your future is actually making it, creating it. Future isn't going to create itself, you must do something in order to make it.
