Responsibilities: An acupuncturist is a
complementary health practitioner who takes a holistic approach to the
maintenance of health and the management of disease, with a focus on improving
overall well being. Treating by
inserting fine needles into the skin at particular locations to stimulate the
energy flow along meridians (energy channels) and the body's own healing
response.
Salary: An acupuncturist’s salary ranges between $75,000 and $80,000 each
year.
Education: You will need
the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree to begin a career and start earning as an
acupuncturist in a regionally accredited college or university.
Reflection:
Do you think
you would like to be one? Personally, I wouldn't like to be acupuncturists.
Why? Why not? Because I don’t like the job in general, I wouldn't like to work with needles.
