9/11 Memorial Attack of the Twin Towers
On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the
Islamic extremist group Al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out
suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were
flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane
hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in
a field in Pennsylvania.

Often referred to as 9/11, the attacks resulted in extensive
death and destruction, triggering major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism
and defining the presidency of George W. Bush. Over 3,000 people were killed
during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than
400 police officers and firefighters.

When the 9/11 happened I was probably like 1 year, I don’t really
remember anything but, once I started growing and understanding stuff, my mother
talked to me about the attack. She told me that when that happened and when it
came out in the news, she was scared and she felt bad for the people. I know
that a lot of innocent people died. People with families and people didn't really
expect that to happen. This terrorist attack will forever be in our minds. Our new
generations must know that back then, in September 11, 2011, things were
chaotic and our nation was desperate for help.

This attack was something huge, something that we were not ready
for. Nowadays we have museums and many witnesses that survived this tremendous chaos. In honor to our people that did not survived the 9/11 graves have been made over The Pentagon. To remember those innocent ones whose chance of living had been taken away.
